Annual parish picnic - August 16, 2026

On Sunday, August 16th, the parish held our annual picnic with friends and neighbors visiting. As in previous years, Pepe's Ice Cream treated us to the best ice cream in all of PA!

Workers in the kitchen as seen through two pass-through windows in a dark-paneled wall. Only part of each window is seen, and in the left window, a man is facing left while looking down at some papers in his hand. In the right window, there's a man to the left, looking slightly towards the left (his right), and a woman on the right-hand-side smiling and looking at the camera. There are various casseroles, some bread, and cups on the counter with small tent labels describing what's in each casserole container. A few icons are hangin on the wall above the windows.

A long table, with a red and white checkered tablecloth runs through the center of the photo, from the bottom to just past halftway up the photo. There are people seated all along the table, talking and eating.

A long table, with a red and white checkered tablecloth runs diagonally from the lower left corner of the photo to about two-thirds of the way to the upper right of the photo. There are people seated all along the table, talking and eating.

A close-up photo of a woman and a man seated at one of the tables. She's on the left and is smiling and looking at the camera, while he looks down towards the table. Two women and a man are visible at the table behind them, and they are glancing towards the camera.

A long table, with a red and white checkered tablecloth runs diagonally from the lower left corner of the photo to about two-thirds of the way to the upper right of the photo. There are people seated all along the table, talking and eating, with a few empty chairs at the table. This is the center (of three tables), and a second table is running along behind it, in parallel, starting from the center of the left side of the frame. A few chairs from the table on the right (not pictured) are partially visible.

A close-up photo of two women and a man sitting at a table with a red and white checkered tablecloth. They have paused eating and are all smiling and looking at the camera.

Fr. Aleksey is standing in the center of the photo, facing towards the left. He's holding a blue 5-gallon bucket with white lettering that says Lowes. He has just pulled a raffle ticket from the bucket and is reading the ticket. There's a man standing behind him, along the right edge of the frame, and his back is turned towards the camera. Part of a table with a red and white checkered tablecloth runs diagonally across the lower left corner of the photo, and dark-panel walls are in the background. Part of the kitchen can be seen through two pass-though windows in the back wall.

A young boy in a yellow shirt appears in the lower right corner of the photo. He's sitting at a table, resting his chin in his hand while looking down. There's a blue and white 5-gallon bucket on the table. There's also a man and woman in the left half of the photo, smiling and looking left at something off-camera. Parts of two other tables and a few chairs are visible. All tables are covered with red and white checkered tablecloths. There's a doorway in the center of the photo, leading into the kitchen, and part of a small pass-though window is also visible.

Several people are standing outside, waiting in line for ice. They appear in the lower left quadrant, and most are smiling and looking at the camera. One man has his hands raised in a pose. The white ice cream truck fills the lower right quadrant. It had red and blue embellishments - some red stripes and much wider blue stripes that have white stars along the stipes. The words Soft Ice Cream appear in red on the truck. New the passenger door, more writing say Ice Cold Soda, and Cones, with contact information on the door. Houses, trees, and a cloudy sky fill the upper half of the photo.
